Stages of Oscar: Nancy Kelly

20130222-194606.jpgNancy Kelly is one of the rare performers who has been nominated for an Oscar for a Tony winning role.

Miss Kelly enjoyed a stage career from the 1930s through the 1960s. Her most famous role was starring in the play The Bad Seed. She won the Tony for Best Actress in a Play for that performance.

When it was made into a film, Kelly starred in the film. She earned an Oscar nomination for her performance. A former child actress, it was fitting that she would receive recognition for starring opposite a child performer.
